This is a super late review post on my photo book that I received from AdoramaPix a few months ago.
To start, I created an account at AdoramaPix.com and started uploading photos to their site so that I could started putting together my 8″x 8″ photo book.
While I had no problem creating an account, there was a high learning curve, in my opinion, in navigating, uploading, and using the website to create my photo book. The website didn’t seem to be intuitive. I had to figure if and where my photos were uploaded to then I had to figure out how to add those photos to a photo book and edit the pages to my preference.
Unfortunately, although they have a FAQ and Video Tutorial sections on a Support page, the page was actually blank. So, there was no help at all in creating my book. All I could do was to play around and “figure it out” on my own.
I ended up getting 20-page 8″ x 8″ book with a blue die-cut cover that filled with mostly photos of my girls.
Prices start at $19.99 and goes up depending on the options you choose.
Although I’m generally pleased with the finish product, I’m not sure I can truly recommend AdoramaPix for any photo books needs based on the fact that their website was “difficult” to use in creating my book. There are other photo websites that offer the same type of product, but their sites are easier to use.
It’s only the second week of August, but before you know it September will be upon us. And, as my post title states, September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month for year 2016!
Once again Snoopy is honorary chair and the American Library Association (ALA) is promoting this event and is offering licensed artwork (permission approved) to use for promotion of this event at your local library. Also, they’re providing promotional tools such as sample copy of tweets and/or press information for library to use. Visit ALA’s website for more information.
